General Compatibility Questions

Q: Is my phone compatible with the system?

A: The Lovesac StealthTech App requires Android version 10 or newer, or iOS 13 or newer.

Q: What devices are compatible with the Integrated Wireless Charger?

A: Check with your phone manufacturer for standard wireless charging compatibility. Currently, we only recommend using the wireless charger with compatible phones.

Q: Is my TV compatible with the Sound + Charge System?

A: Any TV with an HDMI ARC, or Optical output should be compatible with the Sound + Charge System. 

Q: Can I integrate my Sound + Charge System with my Multiroom Audio System?

A: Yes. Your Multiroom Audio System should offer a device to connect cross-branded speakers to the system (i.e Sonos Port, Bluesound Powernode). Follow instructions from this device to connect to one of the 4 input sources of the Sound + Charge Center Channel (HDMI-ARC, Optical, Bluetooth, or Aux).

Q: What can I connect/play through to the Sound + Charge System?

A: Any device with with a Bluetooth, HDMI ARC, AUX, or Optical connection.

Q: Can I control the system with Voice Control/Smart Home Automation?

A: Yes and no. The Sound + Charge System cannot be integrated into a Home Automation system but can be connected to a voice-controlled device and behave as a Bluetooth Speaker.

Q: Can I connect my Sound + Charge system to a projector?

A: Yes. If your projector has an Optical output, you can connect directly using the Optical cable. If not, an audio splitter can be used.

Q: How do I control the system?

A: Via the Lovesac StealthTech App or the included Remote Control.

Q: Can I control the system with my universal remote?

A: Yes. Volume & Mute controls can be adjusted using your TV remote if the system is connected through HDMI ARC.

Sactionals Compatibility Questions

Q: Can I add the Sound + Charge System onto the Sactionals I already own?

A: Yes. The system is backwards compatible and can be added onto an existing Sactional.

Q: Can I still rearrange and add-on to my Sactionals?

A: Yes. The system can be reoptimized to a new configuration shape and size at any time.

Q: Is the Sound + Charge System compatible with any Sactionals configuration?

A: Yes. The system is compatible with virtually any Sactionals configuration as long as it incorporates a Right & Left Side and speakers are not obstructed by Pillows.

Q: Can I place my Sound + Charge Subwoofer in a Sactionals Storage Seat?

A: No. The Sound + Charge Subwoofer can only be placed in a Sactionals Seat Frame and cannot be placed inside of a Sactionals Storage Seat. Storage Seats can still be used in other placements throughout your configuration.

Q: Can I purchase the system in Roll Arm?

A: No. The system is currently not compatible with Roll Arm Sides.

Q: Can I buy a Sound + Charge Deep Satellite Side?

A: No. Based on placement guidelines a Deep Satellite Side should not be necessary. You can still have regular Deep Sides in your configuration.

Q: Is the Sound + Charge System compatible with Custom Covers?

A: Yes. The Sound + Charge system is compatible with all 200+ Sactionals Quick Ship & Custom Covers, excluding Standard and Top Grain Leather.

Surround Sound Questions

Q: Who is Harman Kardon?

Q: Does the sound passing through upholstery and fabric affect sound quality?

A: No. Our patented technology adjusts audio frequencies based on fabric category, type, and color, so sound quality will be consistent and clear.

Q: How many channels are included with the system?

A: 5 surround sound speaker channels and 1 subwoofer channel (5.1).

Q: How many speakers are included with the system?

A: The starting 6 Speaker Immersive Sound + Charge System includes 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer. An additional 4 speakers can be added onto the system totaling a max of 9 speakers and 1 subwoofer.

Q: How do I know where to place my speakers?

A: Placement guidelines can be found in the Setup Guide included with the Sound + Charge system or can be found on www.Lovesac.com/StealthTech-Setup.

Q: Can I turn the system off if I don’t want immersive surround sound?

A: Yes. Settings such as “Quiet Couch Mode” and other volume controls are also available to adjust your listening experience.

Q: Can I create and save my own sound profiles?

A: Yes. Users can create and save up to 5 custom sound profiles.

Q: Do I have to purchase Satellite Sides?

A: No. Although Satellite Sides are recommended to optimize specific configurations, they are optional enhancements that the system can still perform well without.

Q: Can Satellite Sides be added on later?

A: Yes. Satellite Sides can be added on to your configuration at any time.

Safety/Maintenance Questions

Q: What happens if the embedded components need to be replaced?

A: Speakers embedded in StealthTech Sides are all covered under a lifetime warranty. If a speaker fails, you only need to send back the one Side and we'll send a new one.

Wireless Chargers are covered under a limited 3-year warranty. If one needs to be replaced, the charger can be removed via a front pocket in the Side, sent in, and we'll send a replacement.

Q: Can the system be updated?

A: Yes, the system can be updated via the micro-USB port located on the Center Channel speaker. We’ll notify StealthTech owners when new updates are available, or you can check for updates here.

Q: Is it safe?

A: Yes. Sound + Charge Side Inserts meet the same commercial grade durability standards that all Sactionals Inserts do and are compliant with UL standards.

Q: Is it durable?

A: Yes. Sound + Charge Side Inserts meet all the same commercial grade durability standards that all Sactionals inserts do. Both the speaker grills and wireless chargers have been tested to withstand over 300lbs.

Q: My phone is getting hot while using the wireless charger. Will this cause damage?

A: No. To help protect the battery, most phones and wireless chargers are designed to slow charge if the phone reaches a certain temperature. There is also a maximum temperature limit that most phones will shut off for safety purposes.

Q: Can I use the wireless charger with my phone case on?

A: The wireless charger can charge through most cases – up to 5mm thick – but may produce additional heat depending on thickness. Please note, cases made of metal and attachments such as magnets, credit cards and grips will interfere with charging, and it’s recommended to remove those before you begin charging.

Comfort/Style Questions

Q: Will I feel the speakers if I’m sitting on/near them?

A: No. You cannot feel the physical speakers as they're safely embedded inside your Sactional. 

Q: Will I see the wires or speakers?

A: No. The Sound + Charge System removes visible surround sound speakers and wires, phone chargers, and cords running across the floor, decluttering the living space. The only visible component is the Center Channel which will sit or mount under your TV, similar to a sound bar.

Issue 1: No sound coming from any speakers

  • Ensure Center Channel is powered on.
  • Ensure Center Channel power cord is securely connected .
  • Plug a different device into the electrical outlet to verify that the outlet is working correctly.
  • Ensure mute is off and volume is not set to zero.
  • Ensure correct source is selected.
  • Ensure source cord is plugged in.
    • If using HDMI ARC, ensure it is connected to the correct HDMI port on the TV.
    • If problem persists, try another source or different audio content.
  • Check TV settings for audio output. Sometimes it may be sending audio through optical when you are connected to HDMI or vice versa.
  • If using Bluetooth, ensure that the volume on your source device is turned up and that the device is not muted.
  • After checking all other options. factory reset system and re-pair.

Issue 2: No sound coming from Center Channel only

  • Ensure Center Volume is not turned down all the way.
  • If the audio source is 5.1, sometimes the recorded audio does not provide content on all channels.
    • To check this: Try another source or different audio content to see if problem persists.
  • After checking all other options. factory reset system and re-pair.

Issue 3: No sound coming from Subwoofer and Sides (couch)

  • Ensure Subwoofer is plugged in and powered on.
  • Check EQ settings:
    • If Quiet Couch is on and volume set very low, little sound will come from couch.
    • On the News Mode, no sound comes from couch speakers and very little comes from the Subwoofer.
  • Try another source or different audio content to see if problem persists.
  • After checking all other options. factory reset system and re-pair.

Issue 4: No sound coming from Subwoofer (but sound is coming from other couch speakers)

  • Check EQ settings:
    • If Quiet Couch is on and volume set very low, little sound will come from Subwoofer.
    • If the News mode is selected and volume set very low, little sound will come from the Subwoofer.
    • If the Bass is turned low and volume set very low, little sound will come from Subwoofer.
  • Switch to audio with known bass content.
  • After checking all other options. factory reset system and re-pair.

Issue 5: No sound coming from one or more Sides

  • Ensure the Side(s) is plugged in (check both ends of each cable).
  • Check EQ settings:
    • If Quiet Couch is on and volume set very low, little sound will come from Side(s).
    • If the News mode is selected and volume set very low, little sound will come from Side(s).
  • Try another source or different audio content to see if problem persists .
  • After checking all other options. factory reset system and re-pair.

Issue 6: Distorted sound, poor audio, or echo in the system

  • Check if the TV is playing audio through TV speakers and Stealth Tech System .
    • Press Mute button on TV.
    • TV settings may require you to select output "speaker".
  • For Bluetooth, ensure the device is within connection range.
    • Move the device closer to the Center Channel, or remove any obstacle between the device and the Center Channel.
  • Check all cable connections throughout system.
  • Try another source or different audio content to see if problem persists.
  • After checking all other options. factory reset system and re-pair.

Issue 7: Bluetooth cannot pair or connect to Center Channel

  • Check if Center Channel is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Check if system is connected to another device.
    • Disconnect other device or press and hold Bluetooth button on remote control.
  • Ensure the device is within connection range.
    • Move the device closer to the Center Channel, or remove any obstacle between the device and the Center Channel.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on device.
  • Try connecting another device to see if problem persists.
  • Go to the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone, make your phone "forget" StealthTech, and re-pair.
  • Unplug Center Channel for 10 seconds and plug back in.
  • Note that separate Bluetooth connections are required to use the app and to stream music from your device.
  • After checking all other options, factory reset system and re-pair.

Issue 8: App not connecting to the system

  • Ensure the app is closed on other devices.
  • Unplug Center Channel for 10 seconds and plug back in.
  • Verify Android or IOS version supports the app. The app requires Android Version 10 or newer, or Apple iOS 13 or newer.
  • See Issue 7 to verify the phone is properly connected to the system.

Issue 9: Remote Control doesn't work

  • Ensure batteries are good.
  • Ensure the remote is paired to the system.
    • Re-pair the remote.

Issue 10: Integrated Wireless Charger not working

  • Ensure the Side is plugged in (check if sound is coming from speakers).
  • Ensure the device is positioned correctly over the charging mark.
    • Remove cover to see charging mark and learn positioning.
    • Note that not all phones have charging coils centered in the phone.
  • Ensure the phone has wireless charging capabilities.
    • For example, iPhone 7 or older does not.
  • After checking all other options, please contact the Lovesac Customer Love Team.

System Reset and Update

Q: How to perform factory reset of Center Channel?

  1. Power on Center Channel.
  2. Hold down Center Channel + and - buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
  3. All LEDs turn will turn off, turn on, and turn off.

      Subwoofer and Remote Control will both need to be paired to the Center Channel again (see steps below).
      *If you’re still having issues, see Subwoofer factory reset instructions below.

Q: Pair Subwoofer and Center Channel?

  1. With the Center Channel and Subwoofer powered on, hold the Input and + buttons on the Center Channel simultaneously for 3 seconds to enable pairing. Release buttons when the Center Channel front LED starts to flash.
  2. A "water-drop" tone will play when pairing is successful. All LEDs will turn off.
  3. If pairing is unsuccessful, unplug the Subwoofer and Center Channel for 10 seconds and try again.

Q: How to Re-Pair Bluetooth Remote Control?

  1. Ensure Center Channel is powered on.
  2. On the Remote Control, hold down Volume + and - simultaneously for more than 5 seconds.
    • The red LED on the Remote Control will blink for two seconds, then turn off.
  3. Change volume with the Remote Control to verify successful pairing.

Q: How to perform factory reset of Subwoofer?

  1. Long press Subwoofer pair button. Do not release until the LED turns off and an audible tone is heard. If the reset was successful, the LED will start flashing after 10 seconds.
  2. Repeat Center Channel reset and pairing instructions above.
